Materials are selected according to the design, the gemstones they are paired with, and the balance of the finished piece, while preserving the natural color and character of each metal.

Unplated — Letting the Material Speak

Astrea primarily uses unplated precious metal components to preserve the natural color, texture, and character of the material itself.

Rather than covering the surface with another metal, we choose to highlight the natural tone and luster of gold and silver.

Allowing the material to express its own beauty, rather than adding unnecessary layers, is an important part of Astrea’s approach to jewelry making.

Natural Gemstones & Pearls

Astrea works with natural gemstones and freshwater pearls, materials shaped by nature and valued for their individual character.
